Ground the system
Give AI the right project context, knowledge, boundaries, and retrieval path.
Senior Software Engineer Applied AI · Azure · Financial Integrations
Twenty-plus years building distributed, event-driven platforms across financial, compliance, and enterprise environments — with applied AI in real systems since 2022.
I connect models to the less glamorous parts that make them dependable: context, contracts, queues, identity, tests, observability, release guardrails, and human review.
01 / Point of view
A model call is the easy part. The hard part is building a platform that knows its context, handles failure, controls cost, protects sensitive changes, and earns trust.
My work sits at that intersection: deep .NET and Azure engineering, financial-system integrations, distributed architecture, and pragmatic AI delivery. I stay close enough to the code to make the tradeoffs real.
Give AI the right project context, knowledge, boundaries, and retrieval path.
Retries, idempotency, audit trails, fallbacks, and operator visibility are architecture.
Automate routine checks and increase human control as sensitivity and risk rise.
02 / Expertise
Technical direction without disappearing into diagrams — architecture, implementation, review, and operational follow-through in the same conversation.
Document intelligence, RAG, vector search, prompt pipelines, grounded MCP workflows, and AI-assisted analysis.
Secure, asynchronous integrations across internal systems and financial platforms, designed around reconciliation and recoverability.
Distributed systems, microservices, event-driven design, modernization, code review, performance, cost, and executive-ready tradeoffs.
Explicit project rules, automated test gates, release guardrails, visual verification, and stronger controls for sensitive changes.
03 / Experience
From enterprise banking and public-sector systems to cloud platforms, data pipelines, and AI-enabled delivery — a career shaped by production constraints.
Founded and built RodGrid, a real-time platform for architecture design, technical handoffs, and AI-assisted interview workflows. Own product direction, cloud architecture, full-stack engineering, AI workflows, privacy and security decisions, and the end-to-end user experience.
Built a collaborative WebGL architecture canvas for real production systems and designed structured AI-assisted handoff and evaluation workflows, with explicit project rules, automated verification, and stronger controls for sensitive authentication, billing, and data-access paths.
Designed an Azure integration platform connecting internal financial systems with Xero, QuickBooks, and Dynamics 365 Business Central through Functions, Logic Apps, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Entra ID/OAuth, webhooks, APIs, and asynchronous workflows, with idempotent processing, reconciliation, end-to-end traceability, and explicit failure recovery.
Applied AI to compliance and enterprise workflows, built contextual AI tooling, and established delivery guardrails for grounded, testable, and reviewable AI-assisted work.
Reduced ETL execution time by more than 80% through SQL indexing, query redesign, and stored-procedure architecture improvements; built geospatial and operational tooling with FME, Python, React, Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS.
Re-architected web applications spanning a Linux-based device and AWS, improving device-to-cloud communication, interface quality, and user management.
Modernized legacy .NET MVC and AngularJS applications and developed secure, API-driven recruitment and communication systems from the ground up. Implemented token-based authentication and external identity integrations using OAuth 2.0, OWIN, ASP.NET Identity, and Web API.
Led technical delivery and mentored junior team members across client projects, including work for Tecnisa. Designed SAP and factory-machine integration systems with event notifications and operational monitoring, and modernized Votorantim web and payment-calculation systems using .NET, SQL Server, WCF, and web technologies.
Senior development roles including Bradesco, J.P. Morgan/Vastera, and public-sector systems, focused on large-scale applications, SQL Server, ASP.NET, and enterprise integrations.
04 / Selected work
A personal product and representative platform outcomes. The emphasis is always on what survives after the demo.
A visual workspace for designing production systems — and turning architecture into usable engineering context.
Map services, data flows, queues, providers, and operational boundaries on a collaborative canvas. Bring AI into the handoff when it can turn system context into specifications teams can actually use.
End-to-end synchronization across internal finance systems, Xero, QuickBooks, and Dynamics 365 Business Central, using secure identity, webhooks, queues, APIs, and asynchronous recovery paths.
A portable Node.js and Qdrant MCP context server that indexes project rules and architecture knowledge, plus Cosmos DB and GPT utilities for analyzing and optimizing query patterns.
Delivered through SQL indexing, query redesign, and stored-procedure architecture improvements — an example of measurable engineering before fashionable engineering.
